"Rain, rain, go away. Come again another day." I sang, looking out the window of the coffee shop. "Someone sounds depressed." Ceci said. "I'm just tired of the rain." I told her. It had been raining almost non-stop for two weeks. "Yeah, well we do live in Boston." She said. "I know." I sighed. "What?" She asked. "I don't know. I'm bored. I need a change." I told her. "Well, when I win the lottery we'll quit our jobs at this crappy place and move to California. Deal?" She asked. "Deal." I said, laughing. "Looks like another rush of people. What is with everyone wanting coffee when it's rainy and cold?" She asked. "What is with you and sarcasm?" I replied, and she just laughed. I took my place at the counter, and she stood behind me, ready to start making coffee. A big group of kids walked over. "Did school just let out?" I asked. "Yeah." A kid said. "What school are you from?" I asked. "Sacred Heart Acadamy." He said. "Oh, a catholic shcool." I said. "Uh, yeah." He answered. He aparently didn't want to talk about it. "Well, what are you craving today?" I asked him. "A little hot mama!" The guy next to him shouted. "DUDE! Shut up! You are such a perve!" The first guy yelled at his friend. He was blushing. I tried really hard not to laugh. I took everyones order then turned and started helping Ceci with the coffee. "Hey, that guy has been staring at you." She whispered. "Who is it?" I asked, causually glancing in the direction she was looking. "I don't know." She said. "He looks kind of familiar." She said. "Well, I'm going to go find out." I said, and turned and walked toward the guy. "You are crazy!" She said before I left. I just smiled. "Hi, how is everything today?" I asked. "Austin? Austin Badler?" He asked, startling me. "Uh, yeah. How did you know?" I asked. "Picture me with hair." He said. His head was shaved and he had a black bandana tied around it. "Lee! Lee James!" I said. "Uh.....English? Jun....no Senior year." "Yeah! And I go by my first name now, Luken." He said. "Well, nice to run into you Luken." I told him. "Thanks, you too. When do you get off work?" He asked me. "I get off work in about 15 minutes." I told him. "Mind if I wait? I thought maybe we could catch up." He said. "Absolutely! If you don't mind walking with me and my roomate to our apartment. I have to change before class tonight." I told him. "I would love to." He said. "All right then. I'll see you in 15." I said, and walked away. "So?" Ceci asked when I walked back behind the counter. "Lee James. From Highschool. Remember him? He hung out with the wannabe skin heads." I told her. She took a closer look. "He had hair then, right?" She asked. "Yeah." I said. "I looked cuter with it." She said. "I kind of like the look." I told her. "Weirdo." She said. "Anyway, he's walking us back to the apartment." I told her. "What? What if he is a wierdo or a loser?" She asked. "I talked to him a lot in english. I thought he was hot. HE is not a loser or a weirdo." I told her. "Okay, fine." She said. We finished up our shift, and then walked over to Luken. "Luken, Ceci. Ceci, Luken." I said. "Nice to meet you Ceci." He said, and shook her hand. "Do you ladies mind if we ride the bus? It looks a little wet out there." He asked. "I hate the bus. Creeps ride it." Ceci said. "Well you have a nice hunk of a guy to protect you ladies from the creeps." Luken answered. "We can take the bus." I said. "Fine." Ceci said, and I laughed. We ran out to the bustop on the corner and huddled under the small tin roof to wait.
